At the time of the choir rehearsal with Anton Friedrich Thibaut (article picture), corona was just a Latin word. For more than a year now, this word is usually no longer simply translated as “crown”, but many other terms come to mind… The Corona Ordinance of the State of Baden-Württemberg has allowed choirs and orchestras to resume their musical work in presence for a few months now. Our musical journeys begin again

… in new rehearsal room Throughout Baden-Württemberg, choirs or orchestras will still not be allowed to use the premises of schools for their rehearsals until February 1, 2021. However, the Stuttgarter Oratorienchor e.V. has fortunately found a new rehearsal venue. On September 18, 2020, at around 7 p.m., we plan to finally resume our rehearsal work in the parish hall of the Erlöserkirche in Stuttgart with our musical director Enrico Trummer. Choir Retreat or Choir Retreat Time?

In the last few weeks, choir singers have almost forgotten the term “choir retreat”. Since mid-March, the exact opposite has been the case. Even if the current circumstances prohibit normal rehearsals at the STUTTGARTER ORATORIENCHOR – we are still ACTIVE! And this is how it is: everyone sings in their own rooms at home.
