As part of the 60th anniversary of the twinning between Cardiff and Stuttgart, the Cardiff Bach Choir and the Stuttgarter Oratorienchor have joined forces in 2015 and 2016 to perform together and get to know the culture of friends from abroad.

2009: A concert from our series “Forgotten Masterpieces”.


July 30th – August 5th, 2009: In addition to its regular concert activity in Stuttgart, the Stuttgarter Oratorienchor also travels to distant places from time to time. In addition to demanding concerts and vocal performances at church services, cultural aspects and the joy of experiencing the choral community together are not neglected. As part of the “Große Stuttgarter Nachtmusik” the Stuttgarter Oratorienchor sang an a cappella programme with choral works from 4 centuries in September 2010. The programme entitled “Cantate Domino – in the course of time” also reflected the history of the choir. The video trailer offers – apart from impressions of the Great Stuttgart Nocturnal Music – also insights into the traditional history of the Stuttgart Choir.
