The Stuttgarter Oratorienchor is currently made up of about 60 singers who dedicate themselves to their hobby with passion and commitment. It is an integral part of Stuttgart’s cultural life, which is rich in highlights. Three concert programmes are prepared each year, consisting of choral symphonic works. The choir performs together with renowned soloists, but also promotes promising young singing talents or gifted instrumentalists.
Broadly based repertoire
We enjoy mastering musical challenges and regularly tread new paths. Again and again, rarely performed masterpieces or compositions from our time come into play. But the preservation of traditions is just as important to us.
Concert tours – not only to twin cities of Stuttgart
The concert tours of the last 10 years have taken us to Krakow, Berlin, Imperia, Cardiff and to the Lago Maggiore. In 2019 the choir even sang in the famous Carnegie Hall in New York. Since then we have received more and more requests to perform abroad. We are extremely honoured and look forward to making two trips in 2020. It is planned to go to South Tyrol (Italy) in June and to Brno (Czech Republic) at the end of October.
